This is my powerpoint for my reader profile for my music magazine.

USP of my magazine - My music magazines unique selling point is that its the only magazine that follows only UK rock bands. It follows heavy aggressive rock bands from just around the UK and doesn't follow international rock bands like other magazines. It is a reader friendly magazine, with readers comments and features pages, has personal interviews with the bands and has exclusive images and interviews.

These are my final designs for my college magazine cover, and contents page. I think the design works well because it is bold and eye-catching and it catches the reader’s attention.
I also like the house style as it isn’t too formal and institutional like I found most college magazine I looked at during my research did, I wanted to create something that would appeal more to students.

This is my finished CD cover, I decided to use a graffiti theme for my cover as I find it interesting and think it works well as a CD cover for a rock band. I used the detail in making the boys eyes red as I thought it would give it a more sinister feel. I tried to represent quite a heavy rock band, and think my use of font for the title and the aggressive stance of the boy represents this quite well, the aggressiveness of the image is fairly stereotypical of this genre.

The design style I chose was inspired by work on CD covers such as Limp Bizkit - Collected, which I looked at in my research which uses an aggressive image of a man done in a graffiti style which represents the band quite angrily.

I also looked at other CD covers from heavy rock bands, most of them use two or three colours on the cover which are usually dark, and it gives a dark sinister feel to the albums.
